FRENCH MARINA Pulaski, Virginia

Located on the banks of Claytor Lake in Pulaski County, Virginia between Hiwassee and Allisonia, French Marina is a private marina designed to have 91 boat slips as well as dry storage during the off season. Pillar worked with the client and submitted all of the necessary permit and regulatory review requirements on behalf of the client, including permits for septic, marina facility and Appalachian Power. We submitted the required documentation for Appalachian Power to submit to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for facility approval. Along with the marina, we also obtained permits for shoreline stabilization. Pillar worked with the County to develop an erosion and sediment control plan and obtain site development approval through the Pulaski County Planning Commission via a Special Use Permit. Pillar performed all the surveying services including boundary, topographic and location.
