HIGH MEADOWS APARTMENT COMPLEX Wytheville, Virginia

Located in Wytheville Virginia off of Main Street, this 60 unit (7 buildings) apartment complex posed significant site challenges because of its upward sloping grade and low lying wetlands. Underground stormwater detention chambers are utilized underneath a parking lot in order to maximize units. A ten foot high segmental block retaining wall was also utilized to gain an additional ten units. This project was completed using VHDA monies which meant that a certain number of units and site amenities are handicap accessible and meet ADA requirements. Pillar also performed all the site construction survey layout.
